The Vishwamukti 8th National Workshop and Multilingual Poetry Reading concluded on 19th January, 2025 at the KIIT campus. This year’s workshop theme was Impact of Climate Change on Indian Language, Literature, Culture and Multilingual Poets meet.

Speaking as the chief guest, Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati urged writers to use their pen to promote environmental conservation and inspire future generations. Praising KIIT, KISS, and its Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Governor remarked, “I have visited many private universities, but their founders rarely dedicate themselves to the promotion of education like Achyuta Samanta. Despite being a former member of both the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, he chose to forgo political pursuits to focus on expanding education.”

Dr. Samanta, in his address, appreciated Vishwamukti for selecting a timely theme. He highlighted how environmental changes impact art, culture, language, and literature.

Among other distinguished participants were former Lok Sabha MP Dr. Prasanna Pattasani, former Eastern Coalfields Director Ahuti Swain, and Dr. Sanghamitra Pati, Additional Director General, ICMR, Government of India. They deliberated on the workshop’s theme and shared their insights.

During the event, Vishwamukti Editor Prof. Shashanka Chudamani delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests, while Sandhyabati Pradhan extended a vote of thanks.
