KIIT-DU Students at the University of Craiova, Romania

What began as an Erasmus+ fellowship at the University of Craiova, Romania has opened an exciting new chapter for two students from KIIT-DU. Following their initial mobility to Romania in April-June 2026, Debanuj Majumdar (School of Film and Media Sciences) and Sanjana Singh (School of Computer Engineering) were invited back for a second traineeship in recognition of expertise in their respective domains. They are currently working alongside the University of Craiova’s Department of International Relations.

In their new roles, Sanjana and Debanuj are helping organize the International Higher Education Summit 2026, hosted by the University of Craiova, Romania in partnership with Erasmus+ and garagErasmus. Taking place from September 14 to 18, the summit centers on the theme, “The Union of Skills in Action: AI, Internationalization and the Future of European Higher Education.”

Going from international students to coordinators of a major global platform, Sanjana and Debanuj prove the incredible power of international mobility to help students learn, lead and grow far beyond the classroom.
