A Proud Moment for the KIIT, KISS & KIMS Family

Our Founder, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, has received two prestigious civic honours in Romania. He has been conferred the Honorary Citizenship of Milișăuți and presented with the “Key to the City of Bârlad”.

Honorary citizenship is among the highest recognitions a Romanian town can confer. It is awarded through a decision of the town council to an individual whose life and work have earned its deep admiration. More than a formal title, it gives something deeper, because a whole town declares that this person is now one of its own.

The Key to the City is an old European tradition from the days when towns had gates and handed their keys only to people they trusted completely.

These rare honours recognise Prof. Samanta’s lifelong contribution to education, humanitarian service and social transformation. It is a proud moment for the entire KIIT, KISS and KIMS family.Watch these memorable moments from his visit to Romania:
