CME on multifocal IOL technology by Dept of Ophthalmology

Department of Ophthalmology, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar, conducted a CME programme on “Multifocal IOL technology in cataract surgery and its benefits” on July 30.

Dr. Saurav Sanyal, Director, Citizen Eye and Healthcare System from Kolkata and Dr. Praveen Subudhi, Director, Ruby Eye Hospital, Berhampur, were the invited speakers. There was an extensive discussion on Multifocal IOL technology implantation taking precedence over routine monofocal cataract surgery in the present scenario. Keeping in mind the patient satisfaction and needs didactic and video-based discussion on multifocal and Trifocal lens implantation was discussed.

The meeting ended with vote of thanks with the audience appreciating the lively interaction and discussion.
