KIDS NSS Wing Observes Oral Hygiene Day
The NSS Wing of the Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT Deemed to be University, organized Oral Hygiene Day to celebrate the Birth Anniversary of the doyen of Indian Periodontology and Founder of Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP), Prof. Dr. G. B. Shankwalkar.
The students and faculty members of KIDS created awareness on the importance of maintaining oral hygiene in different orphanages of Bhubaneswar. The entire event was organized from the Dental Auditorium via digital medium.
Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Administration), KIDS addressed the participants and motivated them towards maintaining Oral Hygiene. On the occasion, NSS, KIDS also organized online slogan and poster competitions on the theme of oral health, Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi announced the winners of competition:
Saswati Priyadarshini, 1st year BDS, KIDS and Ritika Sethi, MDS Jr-1(Pedodontics), BBDCODS, Lucknow bagged the first and second prize respectively in the poster competition. Dr. Saranik Sarkar, BDS, Rama Dental College-Hospital & Research Centre, Kanpur and Antula Kumari, 2nd year BDS, KIDS won the first and second prize respectively in slogan competition.
The initiative of the Team NSS of KID, led by Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi & Dr. Kajal Parashar, during the difficult situation due to Covid-19 pandemic is commendable.
