NSS SCE KIIT Organizes Webinar on “Yoga for Longevity and Work-Life Balance”
The NSS Unit of the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT-DU, organised a webinar titled “Yoga forLongevity and Work-Life Balance”on21st June 2026, with the objective of promoting holistic wellness and encouraging students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for better physical and mental well-being. The programme aimed to spread awareness about the importance of yoga in achieving a balanced lifestyle and fostering long-term health and emotional resilience.
With the active participation of 90 volunteers, the webinar featured an insightful session by Ms. Shivani Kishwan, a certified yoga instructor. She introduced participants to various yoga asanas and explained their significance in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. Emphasizing the role of yoga in enhancing flexibility, improving posture, reducing stress, and maintaining emotional balance, she encouraged volunteers to adopt simple yet effective practices for overall wellness. The session also included an interactive Q&A segment, where participants actively engaged with the speaker and received practical guidance on incorporating yoga into their daily routines.

The programme concluded with an engaging quiz session based on the topics discussed, allowing participants to reinforce their understanding of yoga and its benefits. The webinar successfully inspired volunteers to embrace yoga as a means of achieving a healthier, happier, and more balanced lifestyle. The initiative aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) andSDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting healthy lifestyles, mental well-being, and awareness-driven learning among youth.
The event was successfully organised under the guidance of Dr. Raghunath Dey, Dr. Minakhi Rout, Dr. Subhashree Darshana, and Dr. Ajaya Kumar Parida, NSS Programme Officers of the School of Computer Engineering, with support from the KIIT NSS Bureau. The programme was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Prabhat Kumar Rout, NSS Programme Coordinator, and Dr. Smruti Ranjan Das, NSS Liaison Officer, whose constant encouragement ensured its smooth and successful execution.
