Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav KSAC Organizes Event to Highlight Cultural Evolution of Indian Music

Someone has rightly said, “Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit and never dies”. Music, being the ultimate euphony of life, has always carried its essence since generations. As a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, Team Korus, the music and dance society of KIIT functioning under KSAC, organized a musical event on 26th January 2022 to highlight the cultural evolution of Indian music.

The students enthusiastically performed classical music, folk (bollywood) music and many others, which premiered on YouTube. Annisa Dutta, Kushan Sen Gupta, Sanchari Bhowmick, Dishani Basak, Mihir Chaudhary, Siddhant Serel, Ritoja Basu, Arpita Nath, Subhangi Rout, Arpita Das, and Indrani Chakraborty presented the song performances. Instrumental music performance was presented by Ankush Das, Amritansh Tiwari and Siddhant Serel. Sabyasachi Mishra, Lekhansh Ruprela and Ankush Das were the video editors, while Anshul Jain, Ankush Das and Rohit Mishra were the audio editors.

The event was hosted by Ashwani Singh, Debarghya Mukherjee and Yash from Kalliope, the Anchoring Society under KSAC. It was coordinated by Sudeshna Dutta and Subhojeet Bhattacharjee. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services congratulated the entire team for their flawless performance.
