KSRM Organizes Webinar on Perspectives in Development

As a part of webinar series on “Perspectives in Development”, KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) organized a talk on 23rd February 2022 for the students of MBA (RM), MBA (ABM) and PGDCD.  

Delivering the talk, Mr. V. Vivekanandan, Director of FishMARC at Vrutti – livelihood impact partners – shared his experience as the first batch student in IRMA. Rural management as a discipline is constantly evolving and changing, he said, giving instances from his own work and career.  

He shared about the need for formation of fisheries cooperative, model of the cooperative, impact in the area and the challenges faced.  He emphasized that being in the sector, rural management professionals are responsible for the wellbeing of the rural people as they are indulged into the core sector without deviating from the track of welfare of a particular sector.

Mr. V. Vivekanandan, who has done Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from IRMA, is a Former Chief Executive Officer, South Indian Federation Of Fishermen Societies (SIFFS).
