SCE Organizes 20th International Conference on Innovations for Community Services (I4CS) 2020

The 20th International Conference on Innovations for Community Services (I4CS) 2020,was inaugurated at KIIT Deemed to be University during January 12–14, 2020. It was hosted by the KIIT School of Computer Engineering. 

Founded as an academic workshop in 2001 as I2CS (Innovative Internet Computing Systems) in Ilmenau by Thomas Böhme and Herwig Unger, the I2CS annually took place every year in the third week of June. In 2003, the University of Leipzig joined the consortium. The I4CS conference is being organized for the first time in India, and KIIT is the only institute in India to hold the 20th edition of I4CS in India.

Interdisciplinary thinking is a key success factor for any community. “Technology Unites Cultures” is the motto of the 20th I4CS.

The conference was inaugurated by  Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU; Prof. Samaresh Mishra, Director, School of  Computer Engineering; and Prof. Bhabani Shankar Prasad Mishra, Dean, School of Computer Engineering. Many other faculty members of the School of Computer Engineering were present during the inaugural ceremony.

The conference will be enriched by the lectures and insights from the following two distinguished invited speakers Wolfgang Halang from University of Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and Gerald Eichler Deutsche Telekom Technology & Innovation Darmstadt, Germany. Program chair of the conference Christian Erfurth, University of Applied Sciences Jena, GermanyPublication Chair Günter Fahrnberger, University of Hagen, Germany also graced the occasion.

The organizing chair Dr. Siddharth Swarup Rautaray expressed thankfulness to the programme committee  for selecting KIIT to be the organizing location for 20th edition of this prestigious conference. Dr. Rautaray also thanked the invited dignitaries and authors for their participation.  The proceedings was  published by Springer in the CCIS series.
