Dr. Harsha Jauhari, renowned kidney transplant surgeon from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi delivered a special guest lecture on “Ethics – Organ Donation and Surgical Consideration in Kidney Transplantation’’ on November 28. This was one of the first lectures for the undergraduate and post-graduate students and faculties of KIMS, Bhubaneswar while celebrating the Silver Jubilee Year of KIIT Deemed-to-be-University.
Dr. Jauhari has to his credit 6,500 kidney transplant surgeries, probably the highest series from India. Besides transplant, he is actively associated with teaching, innovations, lectures, different forums and social events. He is also an adviser to the National Council on Skill Development Committee of Government of India.
The eminent transplant surgeon visited the KIMS Medical College and Hospital and motivated the undergraduate, post-graduate students and faculties and interacted with the Renal Transplant Team of the hospital.
