Principal Scientific advisor to Government of India, Prof Dr Ajay Sood praised the spin off innovation of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Bhubaneswar, during the R& D Conclave organised by the KIIT School of Biotechnology.
After interacting with Dr Ashok Kumar Badamali, cardiac anaesthesiologist, KIMS and innovator of Sanjivani-QCPR (Quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) assist device and observing the device performance, Dr Sood expressed his happiness for the facilities and enthusiasm present at KIIT Deemed- to-be-University (KIIT-DU) to observe and translate a problem statement into a viable useful innovation for the use of a common man.
The Sanjivani QCPR is a cost-effective hand-held device which can provide prompt assistance and save a person at home suffering from cardiac arrest in local language.
Along with the Principal Scientific Advisor GOI, the Chairman NRDC, Commodore Amit Rastogi, Vice- Chancellor KIIT-DU Prof Sasmita Samanta and DG R& D KIIT-DU Dr Mrutynjay Suar were present during the demonstration of the life saving device Sanjivani-QCPR at the R& D Conclave.
