KIIT University’s Anand Singh Wins Gold in Javelin Throw at Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026

Adding another glorious chapter to its rich sporting legacy, KIIT Deemed to be University proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its student-athlete Anand Singh, who clinched the Gold Medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw at the Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026 held in Ordos, China.

Competing in his first-ever international championship, the 22-year-old Indian javelin thrower delivered a spectacular personal best throw of 80.57 metres, becoming the latest Indian athlete to join the prestigious 80-metre club. With this remarkable performance, Anand improved his previous personal best of 77.68 metres by an impressive 2.89 metres, demonstrating exceptional determination, talent and composure on the continental stage. His gold medal-winning throw not only secured the top podium finish for India but also marked a significant milestone in his promising athletic career.
