KSMC Hosts SEE Talk on Advertising “The Ultimate Guide to the World of Advertising”

The School of Mass Communication, KIIT-DU (KSMC) organized a Subject Expert Engagement (SEE) talk on Advertising on 30th October 2021. The talk aimed to instill a deep understanding of the advertising industry among communication students

Mr. Jaideep Mahajan, Ex-National Creative Head, Rediffusion Y&R, Co-founder and CMO at Svish, Canada was the guest speaker. Discussing the advertising agency and its management practices, Mr. Mahajansaid, “Ad agency is a business dedicated to create, plan and handle advertising for its clients. We make communication and advertisements in an ad agency. An ad agency can be an internal department or an outside firm.”

The role of the agency is to develop an advertising and marketing plan specific to a business product or service needs within Ad budgets, he stated.

Mrs. Sananda Mukherjee, Faculty of Advertising was the Faculty Coordinator of the event. Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash, Course Coordinator, KSMC, highlighted the activities and programmes organised regularly by KSMC, while Ms. Ruby Nanda, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of SEE talked briefly about the programme. Second-year students, Ms. Shaktipriya Tripathy moderated the event, Ms. Shweta Routh introduced the guest, and Ms. Kathakali Dutta proposed the vote of thanks.
