Dr. Sankha Chakrabortty, Assistant Professor, School of Biotechnology/Chemical Technology, KIIT Deemed to be University has bagged the ‘NESA Young Scientist of the Year Award-2020’ for his outstanding contribution in the field of Chemical Engineering.

Prior to this, Dr. Chakrabortty, a leading researcher in the field of Environmental Engineering, Membrane Technology, and Green Technology, has bagged 10 prestigious awards and achievements from several organizations for his research activities. Notably, he has published more than 25 publication in several high impact peer review journal

About the Award:
The aim of the project is to determine the specific contribution of the epigenomic factor towards immune diversification of B cells as well as its potential in mediating genomic stability to safeguard cells against tumorigenesis.

About the Award
Published an android application “Pediatric Epileptic Seizure Detector” on Google Playstore that will help the healthcare professionals to predict the actual time of epileptic seizure.

Predictions will be generated from the EEG recordings which in turn will help the user to make appropriate decisions regarding the course of their treatment. It will help medical personnel to determine the presence of a seizure in an EEG recording by allowing them to upload specific files generated from multiple electrode channels. The App will display the occurrence of a seizure by indicating the exact sample value corresponding to the EEG recording.
