KIIT’s Kreative Premier League Concludes with Grand Finale Over 40 participants enthusiastically took part in the event
KIIT School of Fashion Technology, KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences, KIIT School of Mass Communication, and Kalinga Bharati FM 90.0, under the aegis of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), successfully concluded their vibrant Summer Camp, Kreative Premier League with a Grand Finale and Prize Ceremony organized on 23rd May, 2026.
The ten-day Summer Camp, organized from May 11 to May 22, 2026, saw over 40 enthusiastic participation from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, with youth, working professionals, doctors, homemakers, engineers, and students taking part in the initiative.
One of the key highlights of the programme was its inclusive and interdisciplinary nature, bringing together participants from different age groups and professions under a common creative platform. Moving beyond the conventional style of summer camps, the initiative encouraged collaborative learning, cultural participation, and meaningful social interaction.


The camp featured a diverse range of engaging activities, including reel making, tie & dye, photography, paper-mache, painting and creative expression, anchoring and communication, radio jockeying and voice training, acting and expression, music and performance, and fashion modelling. The sessions were designed to nurture confidence, teamwork, communication skills, creativity, and artistic abilities among participants. Conducted under the guidance of Industry experts and faculty members from the organising schools, the programme created an energetic and inspiring environment for collaborative learning and creative exploration.
Speaking at the event, Padma Shri awardee Prof. Adwaita Charan Gadanayak, Director General of KIIT Art Academy (KAA), KIIT appreciated the performances of the participants. He remarked that taking time out for learning amid today’s busy lifestyle is truly commendable. Irrespective of age, the platform has created a vibrant space for skill development and creative expression. He further stated that the event is poised to set a landmark example in the coming days.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Dr Rajeev Kumar Panda, Dean of the School of Film and Media Sciences, School of Fashion Technology, and School of Mass Communication, KIIT, in alignment with the vision of the honourable founder KIIT, KISS and KIMS Dr. Achyuta Samanta and the philosophy of the Art of Giving, the initiative provides a meaningful platform for people to share and nurture their talents. He noted that the event received an overwhelming response, with participation from people belonging to diverse walks of life.
Congratulating the school for organizing such initiatives, Aditya Panda recalled the adage, “Growth never stops irrespective of age,” and emphasized that learning to reinvent yourself is the need of the hour. He appreciated the focus on creativity and skill upgradation during the summer and expressed his happiness at being a part of such a meaningful event.
The Grand Finale featured vibrant performances and presentations by participants showcasing the skills and talents developed during the camp. Various prizes and recognitions were awarded to celebrate creativity, participation, enthusiasm, and excellence.
Participants expressed happiness and enthusiasm about their experience at the camp and described the sessions as creative, enjoyable, and meaningful. Dr. Asima Das, who is a senior gynaecologist by profession, appreciated the positive atmosphere that encouraged participants to express themselves freely. I. Sunita, a homemaker, highlighted the warm and interactive nature of the programme and appreciated the opportunity to engage in creative activities in a welcoming environment. Kritika Bahanipati, a student, shared that the camp helped her learn new things, gain confidence, and enjoy different creative activities with fellow participants.
Among others, the event was attended by Prof. Bauri Raula, Head, School of Fashion Technology, Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash, Head, School of Mass Communication, Prof. Ganeswar Mohapatra, Head, School of Film and Media Sciences, Mr. Susanta Bahanipati, Convener of the camp and Assistant Professor, Ms Ruby Nanda, Assistant Professor, along with faculty members and staff of the University.
Through this initiative, these three schools of the university once again reiterate their commitment towards promoting creativity, communication, cultural engagement, and community-oriented learning experiences.
