KIIT School of Electronics Engineering Organizes Alumni Talk
KIIT School of Electronics Engineering organized an Alumni Talk on “How to get a career in Data Science” by Mr. Ashutosh Patel on virtual mode on 14th August 2021. In his talk, Mr. Patel focused on the different domains of data science and its applicability in the modern industry. Discussing the difference between product-based and support-based companies, he suggested students to pursue higher studies in parallel with a job. He also discussed different salary structures of different roles available in India and abroad. His talk was filled with practical knowledge that helped the audience, mainly undergraduate B.Tech. students, to learn and grasp information. The talk focused on introducing students to data science, data mining, preparing schemes and different opportunities.
The introductory note was given by Prof. Arindam Basak, Associate Dean, T&P, SoEE followed by Prof. S. K. Gannameni. The talk was followed by a healthy discussion between the students, faculties and the speaker. It was attended by students and faculties of School of Electronics Engineering.
Mr. Ashutosh Patel is a Microsoft and AWS certified professional in Data Science Profession with five years of proven industry experience to provide data-driven, action-oriented solutions for challenging business problems. He has a Master’s Degree in Data Science, specialized in Machine Learning and NLP.
