KIIT School of Computer Engineering Organizes Alumni Meet

An alumni meet of 2003 graduating batch of KIIT School of Computer Engineering (CSE), titled “Reunion of Alumni”, was organized by the School on 27th November 2021 in virtual mode. More than 40 alumni attended from different parts of the globe. They appreciated the exponential growth of KIIT in all fields due to the untiring efforts of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS. Prof. Biswajit Sahoo, Director initiated the tradition of year-wise alumni meet and reminded the alumni the slogan of Prof. Samanta – “Strengthening Alumni – Strengthening KIIT”. Prof. Sahoo discussed the possibility of academic and research collaborations, arranging internships, alumni talk and career guidance for KIIT students with the alumni.

The meet started with ‘Krishna Bandana’ sung by Mrs. Debasmita Rout, an alumna of the same batch. Dr. Namita Panda, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Engineering delivered the welcome address and coordinated the whole session. Prof. Samaresh Mishra, Director of Student Affairs, Prof. Madhabanada Das and Prof. Santosh Kumar Pani addressed the alumni and reminisced their association with the 2003 CSE batch. 

Mr. Sidharth Tripathy and Mr. Subrat Padhi talked about future meets and collaboration with the alma mater. It was followed by an interactive session coordinated by Mr. Sambit Kumar Mohapatra, where the alumni shared their experiences at KIIT and current engagements. They expressed their gratitude to Prof. Achyuta Samanta for future growth of KIIT & KISS. They also spoke about how the branding and success of the Founder and their alma mater are giving true shape to their career and excellent visibility across the globe. They shared their professional achievements and also put forward a few suggestions on their contribution and collaboration with the alma mater. Mr. Devi Prasad Dash and Mr. Manas Paira coordinated the cultural activities. The event ended with a word of thanks by Mrs. Sagarika Behera.
