Talk under Webinar Series on ‘CSR and Development’ at KSRM

As a part of the webinar series on ‘CSR and Development’, KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) organized a talk on 12th February 2021 for the students of MBA (RM) and PGDCD. The speaker Mr. Ayan Chatterjee, Head, Sterlite Ed India Foundation (EdIndia) at Sterlite Power spoke on different aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020. India, despite being a significant contributor to human resources globally, is facing a learning crisis, where there are issues in the quality of education, he said.  While the gross enrolment has gone up because of the Right to Education, a lot of students are not getting higher education, he pointed out, while highlighting the significance of NEP.

Mr. Chatterjee also stresses upon the four significant parts of upcoming technology, i.e. AI, Robotics, Blockchain and Artificial reality / virtual reality (AR/ VR). He stated that the advanced technology will be embedded into education delivery and learning processes. He also highlighted the focus areas of EdIndia Foundation, which is working on integrating technology into the classroom teaching.

Mr. Chatterjee is a postgraduate in Rural Management from IRMA and holds a PG Diploma in Human Rights, International Humanitarian and Refugee Laws. He has been in the sector for more than two decades handling large scale programmes in both “Not for Profit” as well as Private sector; launching new concepts/ product lines, anchored on ICT and innovation.
