KSRM Organizes Agribusiness Leaders Talk
KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) organized a guest talk on 6th August 2021 for the students of MBA (Agribusiness Management) under the Agribusiness Leader’s Talk Series. Delivering the talk, Mr. Dushyant Tyagi, CEO, Farmgate Technology (A Nagarjuna Group Company), technology partner to e-NAM, provided an overview of Indian agriculture. He shared about the contribution of Nagarjuna in the various modern technologies used in the agriculture sector. Mr. Tyagi talked about the needs of disruption in agriculture and how it helps in increasing efficiencies in the food chain. He also spoke about artificial intelligence and its role in the future of agriculture. Deliberating about the challenges for scaling technology in India, Mr. Tyagi explained online bidding activity, and the significance of projects that he has done, i.e. e-NAM, NEBULLA, E-FARMARKET.
Mr. Dushyant Tyagi has more than 28 years of experience across the Agri value chain. He is also the co-chairman of the ASSOCHAM’s National Council on Agri-inputs and Farming Practices. He had previously worked in different capacities at Chambal Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, Reliance Retail Limited, Aditya Birla Retail Limited, Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetables Private Limited, Zuari Agrochemicals Limited and Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemical Limited. Mr. Tyagi has done his B.Sc. (Ag) and M.Sc. (Ag) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.
