Knowledge Dialogue Series KSOM Organizes Webinar on ‘Simplifying Personal Finance & Investing’
KSOM organized a webinar on “Simplifying Personal Finance & Investing” under its Knowledge Dialogues Series on 5th November 2020. The Knowledge Dialogue Series is a unique initiative of KSOM to encourage and ensure discussions on pertinent topics.
Shri Pratik Oswal, Founder & CEO, Glide Invest, delivered the talk, which aimed to update participants’ knowledge on personal finance and investing. In his talk, Shri Oswal explored ways to meet financial goals and accumulate wealth, setting apart 20% to 25% of monthly income for this. He suggested diversifying investments into multiple asset classes with high allocation to equity which has historically given the highest long-term returns. He told participants to begin investing at an early age to benefit from the power of compounding.
Prior to Glide Invest, Shri Oswal was heading operations and finances at a Series, a Fintech startup in San Francisco, CA. The company was backed by prominent investors and managed assets over $400 million. He has experience working in Investment Banking, PE and Hedge Funds. He studied Math and Economics at Emory University (USA) and has an MBA from London Business School.
