KIIT School of Electrical Engineering conducted online Valedictory Function during FDP 2020

KIIT School of Electrical Engineering conducted an online Valedictory Function during FDP (School Level) on 27th June, 2020. At the outset, Dr. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, SoEE placed the Welcome Address and thanked each participant and resource persons for giving their valuable time during the virtual FDP program. “More efforts may be initiated by individual faculty members of the School to connect Industry and to do real research or product based research which will meet the societal benefits directly or indirectly”, he said.

Dr. Sarita Samal, Faculty coordinator, FDP SoEE briefed about the contents delivered by different experts during FDP for the last five days.  Dr. Manoj Kumar Maharana, Program Head, PhD SoEE addressed the value and scope of FDP. FDP is an approach to recharge the faculty. A few inputs with regards to the effectiveness of the program were gathered from the teachers and technical assistants’ side who shared their overall experience. 

Mr. Santanu Banerjee, Sr. Project Engineer, Accenture, Bengaluru depicted on “call flow in Telecom and Industrial data management in OSS” to the audience and it was very informative. Dr. Sarat Chandra Swain, Associate Dean, SoEE encourages the faculty members for active participation and also appreciates the expert members for outstanding presentation.

Dr. Jayanta Kumar Parida, Director QA Cell, KIIT-DU congratulated the Director for his active involvement and also the entire team for the successful completion of the domain specific FDP program. He further said that KIIT DU is fortunate to have normalized the activities even during pandemic times and completed the training and retraining of the faculties successfully. 

Mr. Ananta Rao Mangalagiri, IT Advisor to OHPC and Grid Corporation and Director OSRTC has been invited as Chief guest and he addressed the gatherings about the importance of smart grid and challenges of Hydro-electric stations in current scenario. He emphasized the role of the University to establish a strong bonding with Industries via specific Research groups of School with focused areas, strategy for technology developments initiatives, Need for Industry/Government; All the three components should be driven by a comprehensive leader of the School continuously in a proactive manner.

Prof. Subhendu Bikash Santra, FIC of Smart Grid extended vote of thanks. During sessions, all faculty members, technical assistants were present. Finally, the session concluded with collection of the Attendance and Feedback through a Google form link from the participants.
