ICSSR Research Project on Mental Health Sanctioned to the School of Liberal Studies

A research project titled “Tele-MANAS Services to Older Adults – Whether the Co-prime Integer of Emotional Isolation and Family Solidarity in India – An Empirical Study with Special Reference to Service Sectors”, by Dr. Soma Parija, Dr. Ragini Bahadur, Department of Psychology, KIIT School of Liberal Studies and Dr. Puranjoy Ghosh, KIIT School of Law, has been sanctioned by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

Tele-MANAS (Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States) is a flagship national initiative aimed at providing accessible, affordable, and timely mental health support across India.

At KIIT, great importance is given to the welfare of the community, and this research is a testament to that commitment. This achievement reflects the School’s continued commitment to advancing research in community mental health and contributing to national mental health priorities.
