KIIT Hosts High-Level Roundtable at Times Higher Education’s Global Sustainable Development Congress in Jakarta
KIIT Deemed to be University hosted a prominent Roundtable Session at the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC), organized by Times Higher Education (THE) in Jakarta, Indonesia during 22-25 June 2026. The session, themed “Partnerships for the Goals: Why Collaboration with India Will Be Key to Addressing Agenda 2030,” was moderated by Phil Baty, Chief Global Affairs Officer at THE.
The high-profile KIIT delegation was led by Vice President Mr. DwitiVikramaditya; Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Vikas Kumar Sabata, Joint Director of International Relations, and Dr. Siddharth Swarup Rautaray, Dean IQAC. At the global panel, Prof. Saranjit Singh showcased the comprehensive sustainability frameworks implemented by KIIT and KISS. His presentation emphasized how both universities systematically integrate the UN SDGs into their core operations, fostering inclusive education, social equity, and real-world environmental stewardship. International delegates highly praised the transformative vision of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KIMS and KISS, expressing a strong interest in visiting the campuses to explore strategic collaborations.
Expanding its global footprint, KIIT signed two landmark Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during the event with Daffodil International University (Bangladesh) and Mindanao State University at Naawan (Philippines). The roundtable concluded after insightful discussions spanning India’s development trajectory, designing equitable global partnerships, and transitioning from the current SDGs to the post-2030 agenda.
