Konverse with Kalliope” – A Workshop on Public Speaking by KSAC
‘Kalliope’, the official Anchoring Society of KIIT Deemed to be University functioning under KSAC, held the first session of “Konverse with Kalliope”, a free-for-all workshop aimed at mastering the art of Public Speaking on 13th February 2022. Mr. Aman Shukla, a TEDx Speaker and an exceptional Public Speaking Coach graced the event as the guest.
Mr. Shukla gave invaluable advice and key pointers regarding various aspects of public speaking and the key to overcoming stage fright. He emphasized the importance of body language and suggested practicing power poses before going on stage. Keeping the audience engaged and interactive by making eye contact was a significant suggestion. His use of practical examples and real-life anecdotes made the audience listen in rapt attention and interact enthusiastically. He stressed the need to ask, follow up and relate while communicating.
The workshop concluded following an interactive Q&A session with Mr. Shukla, focusing on implementing the key takeaways from the session into our daily lives. The event was a success and was hosted by Zenab Habib. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services, KIIT-DU thanked Team Kalliope for organizing the event.
