Food Distribution Drive by Keurig Society, KSAC on World Food Day
Members of KEURIG – THE FOOD SOCIETY of KSAC, KIIT-DU conducted a food distribution drive for the needy in their respective home towns on 16th October 2020, i.e., World Food Day. They distributed dry snacks such as biscuit packets, cake and juice, besides rice, dal and vegetables. Some members also gave cooked food in a few areas.
Antalina Sarkar in Siliguri; Soumya Subro Jana in Maithon, Jharkhand; Tanisha Sircar in Bishnupur, West Bengal; Jitosoma Paul in Shillong; Shiwangi Roy Chowdhury in Kolkata; Shreya Singh in Sonari, Jamshedpur; Sristhi Shrivastava in Muzaffarpur, Bihar; and Harshdeep Singh in Sonari took the initiative and distributed the food items. Every student and staff members have been inspired by the enormous work done by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director appreciated their efforts and thanked them for their contribution.
