Know Your Army Campaign & Weapon Display at KIIT
The 120 Infantry Battalion (TA) Bihar, Bhubaneswar of the Indian Army organized the“KNOW YOUR ARMY CAMPAIGN” along with“WEAPON & EQUIPMENT DISPLAY” at KIIT Deemed to be University on9th of March, 2019 (Saturday).
The weapons were displayed at Banquet Hall, Campus 6 which was inaugurated by Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar, KIIT DU in the presence of Major Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, SS; Mr. P.K. Chamupati, Joint. Registrar(Admin.) and Mr. B.K. Jena, Development Officer. Students of KIIT, KISS and KIIT International School witnessed and had hands on demonstration of the various weapons used by the Indian Army.
In another programme, more than 900 students participated in the student interaction session with the Commander-in-Chief, Colonel D. D. Swain which was held from 4.00 P.M to 6.00 P.M. at Auditorium, KIIT Campus-6.There was a vivid discussion on the role of Territorial Army in Nation building. Various queries of students on how to join Indian Army were also addressed.
