KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering organized “KRYSALIS-2k19”
The Welcome Function of 1st year students of KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering was held on 18th September, 2019 amid pomp and grandeur. The 2nd Year students of Mechanical, Aerospace, Automobile & Mechatronics Engineering hosted such an enchanting function with inimitable vigor & color matching their theme “KRYSALIS-2k19” spreading positivity all around.
The function was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of KIIT Deemed to be University Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty in presence of Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU; Prof. Biswajit Sahu, Director, Student Activities and Prof. A. K. Sahoo, Director, School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT DU.
In his deliberation, Director, SME Prof. A. K. Sahoo gave a brief introduction of the School of Mechanical Engineering about its infrastructure, facilities, Labs, and accolades received by the School. He further counted the achievement in the field of research and patents filed.
Director (SA) Prof. Biswajit Sahu drawn a very interacting accept of a Mechanical Engineer and its importance in the development of society and made many examples showing its presence from pin to plane, from land to sea and from sea to space.
Pro-VC Prof. Sasmita Samanta in her lucid and student friendly style mesmerized the audience. She told the new students to sustain the sparks in their eyes. She further with her magical words tried to ignite their minds for a better and beautiful future.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty in his address shown the best way to utilize their 4 years in the instincts and advice them to live up to the expectations of their parents, teachers, university and the society. He told simultaneously they should take care of their health by doing regular exercises, jogging in the beautiful campus in the morning.
The Second Year students made a spectacular cultural programme with songs, dramas, mimicry and hilarious scripts. 2nd Year Student-organizers showed their diligence in organizing the event with exemplary discipline and successfully celebrating the welcome function. Later Director, Faculty-in-charge and Administrative Head of the School congratulated all and conveyed happiness in observing the function in a befitting manner.
