KIIT & KISS Celebrate International Women’s Day “Let the Women Realize Their Inner Power”

Celebration on International Women’s Day is not about the women, it is about the respect we have for women, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS. Speaking at the function on the eve of International Women’s Day, he said, “to empower women first, we should encourage and empathize with the helpless and needy women to help them lead a respectful life.” “Development can be possible when we respect women. The more we respect women, the more we prosper and grow in our lives”, he added. He said, where there was no respect for women, there was no development. “The Society, state or nation, which gives more respect to women, that society, state, and nation is more developed. Respect for women should begin in our own family,” he added. Reminiscing the early days of KIIT & KISS, Dr. Samanta said, how, the leading institutions have been respecting and providing equal opportunities to women in every field.

“Motherhood itself is the power”, said Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University. She also added that with the power of motherhood women are always sources of strength, across the globe, where they can enlighten the entire humanity. “According to Swami Vivekanand, let the women work out their own destiny, ” the VC said.

Prof. Dr. CBK Mohanty, Pro-VC, KIMS said, “Women are always empowered. They have enormous power and skill just like their male counterparts. They only need to realize their inner strength. We should have to be aware of their hidden talents and skill,” he said. Prof. Saranjit Singh, Pro-VC, KIIT DU, gave the welcome address, while Prof. Jnyanaranjan Mohanty, Registrar, proposed the vote of thanks. On this occasion, KIIT & KISS Women Forum was also inaugurated.
