KIIT International Relations Office and US Consulate in Hyderabad Organize Webinar on Graduate Studies in US

Highlighting the first 100 days of the new U.S. Administration, the U.S. Mission to India – through its embassy in New Delhi and its four consulates – is engaging with youth in the top 100 educational institutions across India through meaningful conversations about the future of the U.S.-India relationship under the 100 in 100 campaign.

In view of this campaign and the long standing cooperation between the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad, USIEF and KIIT & KISS, a virtual session on U.S. higher education was organized jointly by the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad, EducationUSA@USIEF Hyderabad, and the International Relations Office, KIIT Deemed to be University, on the theme “Your 5 Steps to Graduate Studies (Master’s & Ph.D. Programs) in the U.S.” for undergraduate and postgraduate students on 9th April, 2021.

The session was opened by Dr. Monika Setia, Regional Officer – Hyderabad, Fulbright Commission in India USIEF at the U.S. Consulate Hyderabad. Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT welcomed the panelists and highlighted the programs and activities jointly undertaken by the U.S. Consulate Hyderabad as well as KIIT & KISS.

Mr. Dave Moyer, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad shared his thoughts on the ever growing bilateral relations and collaborative efforts between India and the U.S.A, particularly about the new administration and the 100 in 100 campaign. Dr. Deborah Rosario, Education USA Adviser, USIEF elaborated the 5 major steps to graduate studies in the U.S.A. covering points such as choosing a university, financing studies, application process, visa and departure and also explaining why the U.S could be a preferred destination for KIIT students.
