Student members of KIIT Centre for Constitutional Law Studies and Research, KIIT Law School had the privilege of meeting Shri L. Nageswar Rao, Former Justice of the Supreme Court of India in New Delhi on 30th July 2023. Justice Rao currently serves as the head of the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC) in Hyderabad. The meeting was organized as part of the academic initiative to gain insights into the illustrious legal career of Justice Rao and seek his valuable guidance.
During the meeting, he delved into various landmark cases and elucidated the guiding principles of law that informed his decisions. Emphasizing the importance of perseverance and dedication, he encouraged the students to navigate the challenges inherent in a legal career. Stressing the significance of continuous learning, he underscored the need to stay abreast of the ever-evolving legal landscape.
Justice Rao further encouraged students to be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of clients while upholding justice and the rule of law. He also answered questions posed by the students. The interaction was an enriching experience for the students providing them a deep understanding of various legal intricacies.
