KIIT Writing Society Hosts ‘Krosswords – Behind the Quill’

The KIIT Writing Society, KIIT Wordsmith, recently hosted an inspiring interaction event, Krosswords – Behind the Quill, featuring the renowned writer, entrepreneur and keynote speaker Amarnath Sankar, who captivated the audience with insights into his latest book, “Pause, Breathe, Grateful”. The novel comprised a collection of 100 heartfelt short stories, encouraging readers to slow down, reflect, and appreciate life’s simple blessings.

The event was graced by the presence of Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty; Dr. Krishna Chakravarty, Dean, KSAC; Dr. Hiranmaya Nanda, Associate Dean, Non-Tech Societies, KSAC, and Ms. Gipsita Nayak, Deputy Director, KSAC, whose presence added to the significance of the occasion.

The event began with a felicitation ceremony for the esteemed guest which was followed by a melodious performance by the Vice Presidents of Korus, adding a touch of artistry to the atmosphere. The heart of the event was the engaging interview conducted by Vice Presidents of Wordsmith, where Mr. Sankar shared his creative journey, inspirations, and the philosophy behind his writing.

The session concluded with the giveaway of the books to the winners of the Wordsmith Instagram contest by Mr. Sankar himself, celebrating creativity and engagement among the students.

This collaborative effort by KSAC Societies — KIIT WordsmithKraya and KuberKreative Eye, and Kronicle — stood as a testament to the literary and cultural spirit of KIIT. The podcast not only celebrated literature but also left everyone inspired to pause, breathe and feel grateful.
