KIIT, KISS & KIMS Celebrate 75th Republic Day With Grandeur

KIIT, KISS and KIMS on Friday marked the 75th Republic Day with a grand celebration, showcasing the institutions’ progress, achievements, and commitment to excellence.

The event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities, including the founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta; President of the National Transition Council of Guinea, Dr.Dansa Kourouma; Lt Gen. C P Mohanty, Member, Armed Forces Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi; KIIT Chancellor Shri Ashok Parija; Pro Chancellor Dr. Subrat Kumar Acharya; Pro-VC, School of Medicine Dr. C B K Mohanty; KIIT & KISS President Mrs. Saswati Bal, among others.

In his address, Dr. Achyuta Samanta reflected on the remarkable journey of both KIIT and KISS, expressing gratitude for the collective efforts of staff, students, and teachers that have propelled the institutions to great heights. He emphasized the commitment to further advancements in education and nation-building.

Dr. Dansa Kourouma conveyed his pleasure and honour to be present on this special day in India. He commended the achievements of KIIT and extended best wishes for its future endeavours.

Lt Gen. C. P. Mohanty lauded KIIT as an iconic institution, recognizing its noble mission to reach out to the youth across Odisha. He commended Dr Samanta’s contribution to sports and nation-building, urging the students to motivate 10 people each year and strive to become disciplined and exemplary individuals.

The celebration showcased vibrant performances by students from various schools, featuring impressive March past displays and captivating Sambalpuri and folk dances. Notably, the Junior wing of KISS clinched the first prize for their outstanding March-Past performance.

A significant announcement was made by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, who revealed plans to organize a Tribal Dance Festival in New Delhi after the general elections. Ten dance groups from KISS are set to participate in this event, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of tribal communities.

The event also saw the recognition of excellence within the KIIT community. The Best Staff of the Year Awards were conferred upon 25 teaching and non-teaching staff members. Additionally, outstanding student achievers from various schools were felicitated, along with those who excelled in sports.
