A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KIIT School of Public health (KSPH), KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU) and ICMR – Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR-RMRC), Bhubaneswar on 30th August 2023 for strengthening collaborative research and academic endeavours between the two eminent organizations in the disciplines of public health, medical and allied health sciences.
Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU and Prof. Dr. Bhuputra Panda, Director, KSPH signed the MoU on behalf of KSPH, while Dr. Sanghmitra Pati, Director, RMRC signed on behalf of ICMR-RMRC, Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Samanta emphasized the need for conducting research on cross cutting issues. Dr. Pati advocated for greater collaboration not just with the School of Public Health but also with other schools such as Biotechnology, Law and Rural Management.
Prof. Panda, Director, KSPH appreciated the efforts of ICMR- RMRC in supporting research and other collaborative activities with the School of Public Health. This partnership would go a long way in addressing public health issues of the state, he hoped.
Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU, deans, and directors of various schools of KIIT-DU, scientists from ICMR-RMRC, and other dignitaries were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
