KINS Organizes Guest Faculty Lecture Series on ‘Phototherapy’
Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized the fifth lecture under the Guest Faculty Lecture Series on ‘Phototherapy’, a topic of Paediatric Nursing, on 27th November 2021. Delivering the lecture, Ms. Asli (BELLIKIL) YILMAZ, Assistant Professor, Amasya University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Child Health Nursing Department, Turkey explained various risk factors of newborn babies who are affected by neonatal jaundice. She mentioned the brief history, types, mode of actions, effectiveness, care of the baby with phototherapy. She showed some informative pictures of various new methods of phototherapy, like conventional one, two sided method and Electronic Blanket method. She also explained Nursing Care of babies receiving phototherapy in her country. At the end of session, Prof. (Mrs.) Niyati Das, Principal of KINS proposed a word of thanks.
