Faculty development programme is an initiative of KIIT in strengthening knowledge & skill of all faculties to impart qualitative education programme. Like every year this year also Faculty development programme was conducted at KIIT from 24.06.2017 to 30.06.2017. Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized two days faculty development programme for the faculties of KINS on 29.06.2017 & 30.06.2017 at LT- 5, KIDS from 9am to 5pm.The programme started with lamp lighting by the dignitaries. Inauguration of the programme was done on 29.6.2017 at 9am by Prof(Mrs) Amrita Lenka, Principal college of nursing KINS, Prof(Mrs) Niyati Das, Vice Principal KINS and Prof.Angela Gnanadurai Principal, Jubilee Mission college of nursing, Kerala. The first session of the day started at 9.30am by Prof.Angela Gnanadurai on the topic Meta analysis as an  evidence in research and finished at 10.30 am followed by the group work given to the faculties. This session was followed by group discussion & critics by respective faculty members of KINS.

Second session of the day was taken by Dr. Anita Anusuya, State Team Leader JHPIEGO and her team on Virtual classroom teaching. There were lots of discussions about the feasibility of virtual class room setup in KINS. The discussion  came to an end at 1.30pm followed by lunch. After lunch at 2.30 pm Prof (Mrs) Tapathi Saha, HOD, Community health Nursing, SOA university gave an energetic talk on challenges of Nursing education in 21st century. There was a productive discussion among the faculty members to combact the challenges.Fourth session was started at 4pm by Mr.R.Asokan Asso.Prof KINS on the topic Professional development and accountabilities. This session enlighten the faculty members with the various ways to develop and groom themselves professionally.All the speakers were felicitated by Prof (Mrs) Amrita Lenka, Principal, and KINS at the end of the respective session.On 30.06.2017   the session started at 10am and all the faculties were involved in group work which was moderated by Mr.R.Asokan, Asso.Prof, KINS. Programme was concluded with thanks to all speakers and the participants.Faculty Development programme of   this year was very much educative, interactive and beneficial for all faculties of KINS to enhance their knowledge and skill.
