Korus Society, KSAC Celebrates “Sharod Agomoni”

On the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya, the members of Korus, the Music & Dance Society under KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC), along with the anchors of Kalliope, the anchoring society, presented a Live Performance “Sharod Agomoni” through the Official Facebook page of KSAC.

The show garnered over 1.5k viewers. The programme was introduced by the anchors Debarghya Mukherjee and Sreesha Gupta. The inauguration dance was performed by Sukanya Bhattacharjee. Mahalaya without chanting isn’t complete. So, the majestic song “Narayani Namastute” was sung by Birendra Krishna Bhadra. Annisa Dutta gave a mesmerizing performance on the song “Bajlo tomar alor”.

The programme continued with Annanya Ray’s sumptuous dance on the song “Ogo amar agomoni” followed by Kushan Sengupta’s opulent voice on the song Jog Maya. Sarbani Sengupta then gave a resplendent dance performance on the song ‘Aaj baaje mono majhe’, followed by Trishu Bhattacharya’s dance on the song ‘Jaya jaya japya jaye’.

The event concluded with a delightful performance by Ritoja Basu on the song Elo Elo durga and with a sublime endnote by the anchors. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director Student Services thanked the students for keeping the legacy of celebrating all festivals in KIIT as envisioned by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS.
