KSPH Faculty Delivers Talk at International Workshop

As a part of the Erasmus+ funded project titled “Risk Management and Prevention of Antibiotic Resistance – PREVENT IT”, Chitkara University, Punjab organized the first International Workshop (as part of the PREVENT IT consortium) of the project titled “Antibiotics and Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria in Food Chain: An Alarming Situation” on 1st October 2021 on virtual mode. Associate Professor Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan of School of Public Health, KIIT-DU was invited as an expert speaker to this workshop.

He delivered a talk on “Antibiotics and Food”. The other expert speakers were from the University of Milan, Italy; European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Parma, Italy; Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal; Chitkara University, Punjab and Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, India. The workshop was attended by the students and faculty members of the partner Universities including the School of Public Health and Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences of KIIT-DU.
