Online Course on “Construction and Management Aspects of Infrastructure Projects” at KIIT School of Civil Engineering

School of Civil Engineering, KIIT-DU launched an Online Course on “Construction and Management Aspects of Infrastructure Projects” (CMAIP) for the final year students keeping in view the upcoming recruitment drives. The inaugural program was organized on 28th August 2021 on a virtual platform. It intended to create awareness among the students about the companies that are to visit for recruitment in coming days and augment their industry-readiness.

Speaking at the inauguration session, Dr. D. K. Bera, Associate Dean, T&P informed on the upcoming placement activities and preparedness programs. He encouraged students to attend all the classes conducted by CAAS regarding psychometric and coding classes. He also advised them to actively participate in the domain training classes conducted by the School of Civil Engineering to enhance their core knowledge. Addressing the students, Prof. S. Moulick, Dean, SCE advised students to prepare for both IT and core jobs to expand their opportunities. The program will help students to enrich their core knowledge and make them interview and job ready, he added.

Detailing the registration process for the placement program, Ms Sreeta Majumdar, Assistant T&P Officer requested all students to register for the same. Prof. Mohibullah, FIC, T&P, SCE described the placement scenario, training sessions, and the companies to visit for recruitments. He inspired students to work on their weak links and give their best for upcoming interviews. He also talked about the practice tests that will be conducted in Google classroom that will help the students to self-access themselves and boost their confidence. Around 80 participants attended the meeting.
