Alumni of the 2006–2010 batch of the KIIT School of Civil Engineering travelled from across India to return to their alma mater on 27 June 2026 for a heartwarming reunion after 16 years. The gathering was a joyous celebration of lifelong friendships, cherished memories, and the enduring bond they continue to share with KIIT. The occasion was filled with nostalgia, joy, and laughter as former classmates reunited to relive their unforgettable journey at KIIT and celebrate the enduring bonds forged during their student days.

The reunion offered the alumni an opportunity to reconnect with their classmates, mentors, and the institution that laid the foundation for their successful professional careers. Walking through the familiar corridors, classrooms, and the ever-expanding campus brought back countless memories while allowing them to witness the remarkable transformation and growth of KIIT over the years.

One of the most memorable moments of the reunion was the interaction with Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS, whose inspiring words and unwavering affection touched every alumnus. Congratulating them on their accomplishments, he encouraged them to remain lifelong ambassadors of KIIT and continue contributing to society with excellence and compassion. The alumni also had the privilege of meeting Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT, and reconnecting with their beloved teachers, including Dr. D. K. Bera, Dean, SCE, whose guidance had played a significant role in shaping their academic journey between 2006 and 2010.

The campus tour rekindled fond memories as the alumni visited the Central Library, academic buildings, classrooms, and the lush green campus that had once been their second home. They also explored KISS, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, and deeply appreciated its extraordinary contribution toward empowering tribal children through quality education and holistic development.

The reunion was thoughtfully initiated and coordinated by the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) alumni, with support from Dr. Aparupa Pani, Associate Dean (R&D); Dr. Amit K. Das, FIC (Alumni); Dr. Gaurav Udgata, Member, Central Alumni Cell; and Ms. Sradhanjali Nayak, Administrative Head, Central Alumni Cell. They worked tirelessly to organize the campus visit, facilitate interactions with the university leadership, and arrange meetings with faculty members, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all alumni.

As the reunion drew to a close, the alumni departed with hearts full of gratitude, cherished memories, and renewed friendships. They reaffirmed their commitment to stay connected with their alma mater by supporting student placements, fostering industry collaborations, mentoring future engineers, and contributing to the continued growth and legacy of the KIIT School of Civil Engineering.
