ISRO-KIIT Workshop on Nano-Satellite

The inaugural ceremony of the two day long ISRO – KIIT workshop on development of student Nano Satellite was held at  KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering on 14th October, 2017.

On this occasion, eminent scientists from ISRO Satellite Centre, Bengaluru shared their experiences on realization of Nano Satellites and also guided students in development of KIIT student Nano Satellite.

At the outset, welcoming the dignitaries, Prof. A. K. Rath, Chairman of the KIIT Satellite programme hailed ISRO as the pride of India. Because it is unifying the Digital India by virtue of its exemplary achievements. He elaborated that, what ISRO could achieve within a short span of time, any advanced country can’t  dreamt of the same. In fact, we could send satellite to Mars in only one attempt, which  is being regarded as the unique feat in Asia-pacific region.

Dr. Rambabu Kodali, Pro VC, KIIT University put his talk on the uniqueness of the KIIT University. Prof. Sudrashan Nanda, Research Chair, KIIT University spoke on the Research Programs being carried out in KIIT University. Dr. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT University who presided over the meeting, felicitated the Guest Scientists Shri. N. S. Hegde, Dr. M. Krishnaswamy, Dr. L. S. Shrinivasan and Dr. M. Loganathan  who shared their rich experiences. An exhibition on satellite program was also arranged at the venue.
