Workshop on ‘Multiphase Flow & Heat Transfer’ at KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering
A seven-day Workshop on ‘Multiphase Flow and Heat Transfer’ was organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering (SME), KIIT-DU from 17th to 23rd October 2022 in virtual mode. The workshop, a part of the Social Scientific Responsibility (SSR) activity for a SERB-CRG project headed by Prof. Abhilas Swain, SME, was inaugurated by Prof. Milind V. Rane, Professor in the Heat Pump Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bombay. In his talk titled ‘Advancement of Heat and Mass Exchangers to Enable Energy Conservation’, Prof. Rane showcased some of the projects that he has undertaken and patented while ensuring technological advancement in this field.
At the outset, Prof. Bharat Chandra Routara, Dean-SME welcomed the participants and outlined the remarkable achievements of KIIT & KISS. Prof. Purna Chandra Mishra, Dean-Research, offered insight on the research works currently being pursued at SME. Prof. Satya Prakash Kar proposed the vote of thanks, while Prof. Abhilas Swain coordinated the workshop. Prof. Radha Kanta Sarangi also spoke. About 45 participants from various institutions across the country participated in the workshop, besides faculty members, research scholars and students of SME.
