Second Talk under ‘Alumni Talk Series’ at KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering

KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering conducted their second talk under the ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on 10th July 2021 in collaboration with the KIIT Alumni Association. At this informative and interactive webinar, Mr. Rahul Singh, a KIIT alumnus of 2003 batch, presently working as head of technology in Hygenco, The Hydrogen Company, Gurgaon and Mr. Arka Roy Choudhury, a KIIT alumnus of 2018 batch, presently working as Assistant Manager in Product Development Department, Royal Enfield, Chennai delivered their talks.

Mr. Rahul Singh discussed about the Industrial Gas Production Technologies and scope of Mechanical Engineering in this field. Mr. Arka Roy Choudhury presented the overall production strategy of vehicles in automotive industries. He discussed the importance of every section such as: research & design, manufacturing, sales & service, marketing and operations in the automotive industry. Both of them also conveyed their gratitude towards KIIT for their success. They also praised this initiation ‘Alumni Connect’ and discussed its importance in the professional and personal life of alumni as well.

The talk followed a thorough question-answer session. Prof. Bharat Chandra Routara, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering interacted with students and alumni. Prof. Diptikanta Das, Program Head, Mechanical Engineering emphasized Alumni-Institute interaction to enhance the quality placement in SME through alumni. This event is a stepping stone to more such sessions in the future, which will help bring together the student and alumni community for the University and the School. The session was coordinated and moderated by Prof. Prakash Ghose, Alumni Coordinator.
