KIIT Student Completes Consultancy Project

Mr. Surjeet Singh Gour, a B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering student of KIIT completed a Consultancy Project titled “Tracking of ‘C’ welding seam of LPG cylinder through image/video processing based autonomous sensor-actuator control technique”. He completed the project under the supervision of Dr. Anish Pandey, Assistant Professor and the guidance of Prof. Debashis Deb, Director General (Consultancy). In this project, an autonomous vision sensor-actuator-based circumferential seam path tracker welding machine/device for LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders was designed and developed, which is cheaper than the laser-based tracking machine.
