Fourth Talk under ‘Alumni Talk Series’ at KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering

KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering conducted their fourth talk under the ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on 3rd August 2022 in collaboration with the KIIT Alumni Association. Mr. Prateek Jat, an alumnus of 2017 batch of School of Mechanical Engineering, delivered the talk. He is currently pursuing Masters in Engineering Management at University of Texas at Arlington, USA.

Speaking on the topic ‘A Road to Managerial Roles’, he discussed the role of manager and the key factors that make a professional a successful manager in industries. He also discussed the procedure to get a chance for higher study in the reputed Universities of academically advanced countries. He emphasized to do higher study with some industry experience to get a better opportunity in reputed industries. Mr. Jat conveyed his gratitude towards KIIT for his success. He also praised the initiation of alumni connect and discussed its importance in the professional and personal life of alumni.

Mr. Jat worked as a Project Management Trainee in Protecon Btg Pvt. Ltd. He also worked as Project Engineer in the Tender Department in Techno Global Services Pvt. Ltd. and Sr. Project Engineer in the Business Development Department for Potaliya Enterprises.

The talk followed a question-answer session. Prof. Bharat Chandra Routara, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering also interacted with students and alumni, while Prof. Sushant Tripathy also spoke. The session was coordinated and moderated by Prof. Prakash Ghose, Alumni Coordinator.
