ATAL FDP on ‘Role of MCDM Techniques in Data-Driven Supply Chains for Sustainability and Resilience’

The School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT-DU is hosting a six-day ATAL FDP on ‘Role of MCDM Techniques in Data-Driven Supply Chains for Sustainability and Resilience’ from 18th to 23rd December 2023. Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU, delved into the broader context of post-COVID supply chains, addressing geopolitical influences. He connected these factors to the event’s themes and urged the organizing team to cover the fundamental concepts of various aspects included in the theme of the event.

Dr. B. C. Routara, Dean, KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering highlighted the contributions of KIIT & KISS in imparting education to all. He also underscored the cutting-edge facilities and research projects at the School of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. P. K .J. Mohapatra, Professor Emeritus, Public Policy Research – KIIT stressed the importance of fundamental understanding vis-a-vis using commercial software in the research.

With 56 participants from diverse institutions across Odisha and India, the event commenced with the opening address from Dr. Sushanta Tripathy, Coordinator – ATAL FDP. He outlined the FDP’s objectives, focusing on applying MCDM techniques to bolster the sustainability and resilience of data-driven supply chains. Emphasizing the role of big data, analytics, and digital tech in optimizing supply chains, he underscored their significance in modern supply chain management. Dr. Deepak Singhal, Co-coordinator of the FDP, extended a vote of thanks to all participants and dignitaries.
