KIIT Student Counselling Cell, School of Applied Sciences and School of Humanities Organize Counselling Session for Parents
The Student Counselling Cell of KIIT Deemed to be University in association with School of Applied Sciences and School of Humanities organised an interactive session with the parents of B. Tech 1st year students from 27th to 29th April 2021. The meetings were presided by Dr. Sucheta Priyabadini, Director, Students Counseling, KIIT in presence of the respective Heads of Schools; Dr. B. P. Padhy, Prof-in-charge of Student Affairs; members of Tutor Mentoring & Counselling Committee of the School, and the Tutor Mentors. The parents actively participated in the discussions and suggested a few proposals for the overall well being of the students.
“It is a very good initiative taken by KIIT”, said one of the parents. All of the parents expressed their gratitude for the teaching, learning and conducive ambience provided by KIIT-DU to groom their wards. A few suggestions like sessions on importance of exercising, effective management of screen timings, use of multimedia in classes, real exposure to lab sessions, effective participation of students in different student societies as well as students’ career planning were also discussed.
The meeting was very effectively conducted by members of Tutor Mentor and Counselling Committee along with Prof. Puspalata Pattojoshi, Dean SAS, Prof. Kajal Parashar and Prof. B P. Padhy, considering this as a significant need of the hour.
