School of Electronics, KIIT-DU, Hosts Grand Project Expo, Kreativity 3.0 Showcasing Student Innovation
The School of Electronics, KIIT-DU hosted Kreativity 3.0 – Project Expo on 21st January 2026, celebrating student innovation, creativity, and hands-on engineering excellence. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS; Dr. K. D. Raju, Pro Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, whose presence inspired and encouraged the young innovators. Mr. Mihir Das (Director, Business Intelligence Professionals) and Mr. S. K. Rout (ATS CNC, Bhubaneswar) joined as expert evaluators, adding strong industry perspective to the showcase.
The exhibition showcased 150 innovative and fully functional student-developed prototypes, covering a wide range of emerging and impactful technologies. Key exhibits included underwater rescue and exploration robots, advanced safety devices, FPGA-based systems, smart medical devices, and several other solutions addressing real-world challenges in healthcare, safety, automation, and communication. Students from the KIIT Robotics Society (KRS) also participated in the expo, and showcased water-body cleaning robot, game controller and console, IoT-based carbon emission predictor, KrishiNoor agri-business solution, guitar tuner, AI-powered surveillance system, and other innovative initiatives.
The event drew over 2,000 visitors, reflecting overwhelming enthusiasm from academia, industry, and the public. Students from eight schools also visited the expo, gaining early exposure to electronics, robotics, and applied engineering through direct interaction with student innovators. Kreativity 3.0 stood out as a vibrant platform for experiential learning, collaboration, and inspiration—reaffirming the KIIT University commitment to innovation, research culture, and industry-ready talent development.
