KIIT Team Wins India Innovation Challenge Design Contest
Team ‘Tech Twisters’, representing KIIT Deemed to be University, has been declared as a winner of The India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) Conclave and is among the Top 60 teams of the nation.
The IICDC was organised by Texas Instruments in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, AICTE mission, NSRCEL of IIM Bengaluru and MyGov. The competition started in the year 2019. More than two lakh students from over 2000 technical institutions across the country participated in the event.
KIIT team was adjudged one of the top teams after continuous rounds of evaluation, which consisted of Quarter Final phase-1, Quarter Final phase-2, Semi-Final Phase-1, Semi-Final Phase-2. Team ‘Tech Twisters’ worked on the project of E-Health Monitoring System which consists of a mobile app, a med box, and a smart watch.
The selected Top 60 teams will now undergo NSRCEL’s prestigious Launchpad program for three months at NSRCEL@IIMB. Further Top 20 teams will be chosen for Incubation at NSRCEL and seed fund from DST.
The team members are Sourav Das (Team Leader), Rohit Yadav (Business Lead), Shubham Saxena, Rajesh Kumbhakar, Pratik Ghosh and Raushan Kumar, all from KIIT School of Electronics Engineering. The team was guided and mentored by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Rout, Professor & Director (Student Research Cell).
