KIIT School of Electronics Engineering Organizes School-level FDP
School of Electronics Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University is conducting School-level Faculty Development Program (FDP-2021) with the theme, ‘Exploring Self: A New Paradigm in Education’ from 21th to 26th June, 2021 on Virtual Mode. The School has arranged two online FDPs; namely, “Track-I: Recent Trends in Communication, Microwave Engineering & IoT” and “Track-II: Emerging Trends in Machine Learning & Signal Processing”. Eleven external experts from reputed institutes like IITs, IIITs, NITs and twenty internal experts are invited to deliver talks at the FDP.
The program commenced on 21st June 2021 with a welcome address by Prof. Suprava Patnaik, Dean, School of Electronics Engineering, followed by Prof. Arun Kumar Ray, Director Academics. Prof. Vineeth N. Balasubramanian, Head (Artificial Intelligence) & Associate Professor, IIT Hyderabad was invited as the Keynote Speaker to the program. The title of his talk was “Towards Explainable and Robust AI Practice”. He highlighted recent advancement of AI and its application in agriculture, healthcare, autonomous vehicles, etc.
The participants got ideas about recent research on AI, ML and its application in different emerging fields at the informative session. Total 110 internal faculties and 48 external faculty members from different Institutes/Universities across India are attending the program. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Sudhansu Sekher Singh.
