KIIT School of Electronics Engineering Organizes Alumni Talk

An Alumni Talk, the fourth in the series, was organized by KIIT School of Electronics Engineering (SoEE) for the B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph.D. students on 24th March 2021. The speaker, Dr. Sounik Kiran Kumar Dash provided an overview on ‘Opportunities and Challenges in Pursuing Higher Education in India and Abroad’.

He highlighted the challenges and opportunities before the students wishing to pursue higher studies in India and abroad. Dr. Dash stressed upon the different skill sets required among the students to get selected in different reputed institutes. He shared some of the ways forward with respect to selection of college and course. Urging students to devote time in research, he suggested they should invest in learning new things, using technology, keeping one updated, building up knowledge and improving writing skill.

The session was attended by the students and faculty members of School of Electronics Engineering. The program was coordinated and concluded by Dr. Arindam Basak, Associate Dean, T&P. The talk was very informative for the students of B. Tech., M. Tech. and PhD.

Dr. Sounik Kiran Kumar Dash completed M.Tech in Communication System Engineering from KIIT Deemed to be University in 2015 and Ph.D. from NIT Silchar in 2018. At present, he is working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), Shenzhen, PR China. His current research interests include Dielectric Resonator Antennas (DRAs), Self-Multiplexing Antennas, RF Energy Harvesting, MIMO Antennas, etc. He has authored or co-co-authored over thirty research articles in refereed journals and is serving as an Advisory Editor for Wiley Engineering Reports.
